Photography 2008/2009
Well, my first year of photography has flown by... and I decided to make a slideshow every year of some of my photos to see how I progress. As I was having fun putting this one together, a lot of the pictures had lots of memories... the hours of time to get just one good picture... the frustration of remembering how aperture, shutter speed, ISO, & white balance all worked... just to then ignorantly reformat (delete) my entire memory stick... but despite my "photography hardships" in the beginning of the year, the joy of getting those vibrant pictures, to capture those precious moments of time, was all worth it. And I really really enjoy it now!! (Though in the beginning of the year, I had my doubts if I ever would love it!) Its so fun to catch those brief, yet special moments that turn into memories...

Peru Video #2
I just finished re - editing the last Peru video - so this is a new and improved version :) I re edited it because the consensus of the family was that the first one had too much 'turisty' stuff and the like to show for our Peru Mission Report at church. So, take a look at it, and leave a comment to let me know which one you like better!!

Washington DC Trip...
Last month we took a trip up to Washington DC for our Grandparents 50th anniversary. We had a wonderful time, and were able to visit many amazing historical places. Here's a few pictures of a few of the places we went to. We were able to visit a lot of the Museums there, the Washington Mall, the Capitol building, and many other neat places...
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall waveO'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
George Washington's Monument.
We were also able to see the Monuments for Roosevelt, Jefferson, and Lincoln.
We were also able to get a glimpse of the imposing White House...
....And a tour of the Capitol Building.
While there we also saw the House of Representatives in Session - amazing!
(Isn't this picture just like a postcard?! Great Job Daddy!!)

In the Botanical Gardens
At Lincoln's Memorial

The house that the 13 of our Family stayed in during our time in Washington

The house was near a private beach, which was really nice. There were beautiful Sunrises and sunsets there, and Daddy and I enjoyed getting up early to capture those beautiful moments...
::Sunrise::
I think it is just wonderful that God created these beautiful times when the sun rises and sets. He made them just for us, instead of just creating the sun to just pop up without the beauty. What a wonderful God we serve!
(Hmm I don't know why this is underlined...)
